FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EAW® Loudspeakers Chosen for N-Sid-Sen Camp and Conference Center

Lambert Audio Engineering installs system featuring EAW® loudspeakers and processing solutions

Whitinsville, MA, USA, September 15, 2010 – The N-Sid-Sen Camp and Conference Center is a 270-acre multi-use facility on the shores of Lake Coeur d'Alene in Northern Idaho. The venue offers a wide variety of settings for activities, including sports fields, a ropes course, basketball and volleyball courts and an outdoor chapel. Recently, Pat Lambert of Lambert Audio Engineering was asked to spec a P.A. system for the new Stillwater Welcome Center located at N-Sid-Sen, and he selected loudspeakers and DSP from EAW®, a world leader in audio system solutions.

“The facility does not have trained audio techs on site, so I knew it was crucial that I provide an extremely flexible and easy-to-operate system. EAW’s DX1208 DSP Matrix Mixer fit the bill perfectly,” stated Lambert. A combination of EAW VR51 Full-Range Loudspeakers and VRS12 Compact Subwoofers was used for the main room while a number of EAW SMS4 Surface Mount Loudspeakers, powered by two EAW CXA80 Power Amplifiers, were used to evenly cover the foyer and porch zones. The system was set up with four operating modes selectable via the UR-2 keypads located at the audio rack and in the main room. Three volume control zones were established to allow independent level control for the foyer, porch and main room.

Musicians and sound engineers using the system for more complex audio needs were impressed with the quality of sound. Similarly, the managing director for N-Sid-Sen, Randy Crowe, is equally pleased with the system from a programming standpoint. “This past week I got a request to change a preset to allow an additional set of inputs. The whole process from plugging in, to tuning and setting up the additional inputs and adding them to the auto-mix settings took less than 30 minutes.” Lambert added, “This system is very adaptable. This makes future changes very manageable and allows the system to grow and evolve with the facility.”

This September, N-Sid-Sen will welcome a state-of-the-art video system to their facility. With the DX1208, they will be able to leverage the Logic outputs to turn on the projector and lower a motorized screen with the push of a button. Remarks Lambert, “Exactly the kind of simple operation that will meet the needs of this facility and many others.”
