FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lambeth Conference Loud and Clear Thanks to
EAW KF730 Compact Line Array

Whitinsville, MA, USA – November 3, 2008
– The 2008 Lambeth Conference, the worldwide conference that brings together Anglican ministers from all over the globe, recently took place in Canterbury, England, and it featured clear, powerful sound thanks to a KF730/SB730 Line Array from EAW, a world leader in audio system solutions. Cheltenham-based sound and lighting contractors Peak Hire Limited handled the system rental and implementation.

Peak Hire made use of EAW’s KF730 Line Array system (which featured flown KF730s and stacked SB730s) in the main venue, a custom designed temporary structure. The system was designed to give maximum coverage across the flat floor and tiered seating, and, with world leaders including the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams speaking every day, the system had to be right.

“We were very pleased with the set up of the system,” said Karl Ashman, Peak Hire MD. “Despite some last minute changes to the layout of the venue, we were able to quickly adapt, allowing for even coverage throughout the 1600 seat auditorium. The new UX8800 processing for these boxes is stunning.”

Peak Hire have also used the EAW KF730 line array at a number of high-profile U.K. events throughout the summer, from the Subway®-sponsored event Picnic Rocks, to the 2000 Trees Festival in Gloucestershire. “We’ve only had the system for a couple of years, and we’re really pleased with it,” added Karl. “The flexibility it allows means that it has been working very hard – on everything from conferences in mainland Europe to concerts and festivals here in the UK.”

About the EAW KF730 Compact Line Array Module and SB730 Compact Line Array Subwoofer:
The KF730 Compact Line Array Module packs a six-driver, horn-loaded proprietary EAW KF Series design into a very compact enclosure. The full-sized mid/high horn fills the entire face of the enclosure, ensuring broadband 110° horizontal pattern control. The unique Phase Aligned™ LF design extends horizontal pattern control into the LF, and a bi-amplified powering configuration (passive mid/high) reduces total system cost and complexity. The rigging system permits box-to-box angles of 12°, 6°, 3°, and 1.5° but always keeps module faces contiguous.

The SB730 Compact Line Array Subwoofer is the compact companion subwoofer to the KF730, extending response to 35 Hz. The baffle design and advanced LF transducers maximize LF punch, with the enclosure size and rigging compatible with KF730 for suspension and ground stacking. The unique enclosure shape provides stiffer rear panel while reducing weight, and the T-shaped rear provides stable footprint for ground stacking an arc of KF730.
