ITASCA, IL, August 11, 2009 — Following closely on the heels the of the introduction of its flagship DN-X1700 Digital Mixer, Denon DJ, a leading manufacturer of reliable, premium-grade DJ equipment, expands its range of products with four new offerings: the DN-HC5000 Serato ITCH Controller, developed under a new strategic partnership between Denon DJ and Serato™ Audio Research, the DN-HC1000S USB MIDI Sub-Controller (compatible with Serato Scratch Live), the DN-S700 Tabletop CD/MP3 Disc Player and the DN-HP500 Professional Headphones.
The DN-HC5000 Serato ITCH Controller is a rackmount digital DJ system developed to work with Serato ITCH, an integrated software/hardware system designed to give music selectors and Mobile Entertainers new kinds of control. Benefiting from Serato’s HIDI technology to improve speed, and software/hardware communication, the DN-HC5000 is a USB 2.0 MIDI controller with built-in 24-bit soundcard, compatible for use with both PC and Mac®. Features include a multi-functional touch sensitive jog disc, vibrant FL tube with text display and tactile illuminated rubber controls.
The new tabletop DN-HC1000S USB MIDI Sub-Controller is designed to interface with Serato’s Scratch Live software, which enhances a digital music library with a number of unique tools and performance features. The DN-HC1000S offers simple plug ‘n play operation via self powered USB connectivity, and it replaces the PC keyboard for DVS systems with a set of dedicated controls, including track select and fast search, SHIFT/CLR button, five “hot start” and three sampler buttons, auto loop, Loop IN-OUT with exit/reloop, history and a TAP button.
The DN-S700 Tabletop CD/MP3 Disc Player is a new entry-level compact tabletop CD/MP3 player sporting many features from Denon DJ’s flagship professional models, including advanced MP3 functionality for easy file search and selection, CD text display, auto or manual BPM, three onboard FX, four pitch ranges, one hot start and seamless loop controls, fader start and pitch bend (available on buttons and jog wheel to enhance performance creativity).
The DN-HP500 Professional DJ Headphones are stylish new entry-level DJ headphones that, like Denon DJ’s HP1000 and HP700 models, produce impeccably clean and vibrant audio while withstanding the high-volume demands of today’s DJs. The DN-HP500’s offer 1300 mW input power, 40-mm driver, 40 Ohms impedance, 103 dB output, 10-28 kHz frequency response and 90 degree swivel mechanism, with comfortable ear pad and headband for prolonged periods of use.
