Summer NAMM Show, Nashville, TN, July 8, 2015 — The BOSS (Booth #924) SY-300 Guitar Synthesizer is a revolutionary, analog-style synth designed for use with normal guitar pickups. Powered by new BOSS technology, it allows musicians to play latency-free, polyphonic synth sounds with any guitar, with no special pickup needed. Users can also process their regular guitar sound to achieve a limitless range of tones.
Unlike other products that require a special GK pickup and 13-pin cable to access synth voices, the SY-300 can be used with any guitar or bass via a standard 1/4-inch cable. Its ultra-fast DSP delivers an organic, latency-free playing experience that’s a natural extension of the user’s normal guitar, without altering their technique.
The SY-300 features 70 preset patches plus 99 user patches for an additional set of sound options. The polyphonic synthesis engine offers new sound creation possibilities, with synthesis parameters including wave shapes, filter/amp controls and LFOs. A Blender function and step sequencer let guitarists discover new sounds and create dynamic melodies.
The synth engine can also process a normal guitar sound to create unique new textures. Users can apply synth filters, change attack and decay characteristics, and more. Powerful BOSS multi-effects can be applied from four simultaneous effects engines.
A USB interface lets users capture audio tracks in music production software or route existing tracks into the SY-300 to “re-synth” sounds. Players can also build and organize patches with the dedicated BOSS Tone Studio editor and download new patches from http://bosstonecentral.com.
A graphic LCD display, assignable footswitches, and versatile I/O options complete the package.
The SY-300 is now available with a U.S. street price of $699.00. For more information, visit BossUS.com |
