THE NAMM SHOW, ANAHEIM, CA, JANUARY 23, 2014 – Auralex® Acoustics, Inc. (booth 7424), the world’s leading brand of acoustical treatments, has been providing its Free Personalized Room Analysis™ service for sound professionals nationwide, and the service is enhanced with an intuitive digital online form. Users can fill out this form and provide a layout of their room to receive a suggested plan of acoustical treatment and placement.
The free service, which allows users to enter key parameter values on Auralex’s website, then calculates the dimensions, creates 2D CAD drawings of the project and suggests the most appropriate Auralex acoustical treatment projects for it, is free and has proven to be a tremendously valuable asset for AV professionals.
The FREE Personalized Room Analysis Form is available online in three formats: Standard Room, Large Room and Home Theater. Once the customer chooses the form that applies to their room type, they submit it online. Photos, drawings, short video clips and more can also be submitted. An Auralex application specialist will then review the submitted materials and create acoustical models of each room, along with product placement suggestions to improve the diagnosed acoustical issues. The recommendations take into account the budgetary and other constraints mentioned on the submitted form.
Users can also choose to upgrade to “Room Analysis Plus” or “Room Analysis Pro” packages. With “Room Analysis Plus,” by users recording a frequency sweep in their room and sending the WAV file to Auralex, Auralex can obtain frequency response and impulse data that allows them to delve deeper into the sound quality issues users are facing. With “Room Analysis Pro,” an Auralex representative will travel to users’ location to take acoustical measurements of their room, and a report will be developed of their findings.
